What to do in Barcelona??

Two young females spending Fri, Sat and Sunday afternoon in Barcelona.

We would like to see a few of the "major monuments" but not spend a ton of time inside museums (1-2 MAX) and are looking for ideas/ input on highlights, must-see's, ETC

Your thoughts/ suggestions are appreciated!!

THANKS! :)

I didn't reference the threads so this may be repeating. There is a bike tour that covers alot of places and ends up on the beach which you might enjoy - I think the company is Fat Tire Bike Tours. Also the hop on / hop off bus would be a good way to cover alot of ground. I'd suggest getting off at Parc Guell, its amazing and free! The Sagrada Familia church is unique - even if you don't want to go inside, walk around to see the facades. Take a stroll down the Ramblas and then wander into the old town or Barcolneta and find a nice plase to sit and eat tapas! Those would be my suggestions.

DH and I did the Fat Bike Tour 3 years ago when we stopped in Barcelona on a cruise. It was great fun! We returned last year and I also recommend the hop on/hop off bus. Parc Gruell was a great stop to spend some time wandering. I wouldn't miss the Museum of the City of Barcelona in the Barri Gothic. Fascinating ruins of 'old' Barcelona if that is your thing. If you like Picasso, don't miss the Picasso Museum. Also, stroll the Ramblas (watch for pickpockets), go the the Market, stroll the waterfront, stroll the Barri Gothic and El Born areas.

The Gaudi sites were our favorites: Casa Mila, Casa Batllo, Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell.
