What to buy in Italy

Are there any great buys/bargains in Italy? What can you get in Italy that you can't get in the US?

Hi X,

>What can you get in Italy that you can't get in the US?<

Nothing. Some things, however, are cheaper.

Olive oil, real balsamic vinegar, dried porcini mushrooms, Reggiano Parmigiano (vacuum sealed), local wines - we like Lachryma Christi, leather goods in Florence, glass in Venice (be careful, a lot of it comes from china).
