What to bring home from Paris
 

I have a 17yo son and i can't seem to find anything to bring him home I have looked @ rugby hoodies but there is way to much advertising on them Any suggestions? thanks

How much do you know about what your son likes?

I brought our 16yr old DS home a nice leather wallet. Also a thing, not sure what you call it, but it is leather and sort of square bowl shaped. It sits on a nightstand and you can put change, keys, etc in it.

french soccer jersey, renault soccer jersey - or any European team. Yes they have advertising - that's part of the appeal - but it sounds like he may not be that into international sports. Go to the gift shop at the Louvre,Musee D'Orsay or Rodin and something unique and French will grab your attention.

the Metro stop at Les Halles has a boutique where I bought boxer shorts that was imprinted with the Paris Metro..
I'm a woman, but use them for my summer sleepware :)

Plastic, glow in the dark, light up and blink Eiffel Towers.

I brought my son the 1 Million Aftershave for men by Paco Rabanne and the Million perfume for my daughter-in-law.
The Aftershave is in a container shaped like a gold bar.
But then he does like to smell and look good - but of course, he's Italian!

My son is 6 feet 3 inches christian, and not into designer stuff. Just thought I would try and see if anybody had any store recommendations

I was thinking back over things I bought for my nephews over the years and was going to suggest some things , but I guess I didn't realize that Christians require a certain kind of gift!! Or is that his name? Or is the poster addressing someone who answered his question. I am confused.

Agree with Meath. Anything soccer related usually goes over well with young men. Actually I had a hard time finding a sporting store in Paris, but did find one in Reims. Got jerseys & those scarf things and my son loved them.

My sons would both hate the soccer stuff (unless your child is into soccer). At that age they have purchased cologne, a small clock (with an Eiffel tower on the frame), coasters, books and posters from the stands, an imitation Paris street sign. The clock and coasters are now at college.
The museum stores are excellent for finding unique items.
They also love to buy things in the grocery like French cookies.
I asked my 6'4" son who is 16 for more ideas. He said he wants a pair of those boxers that cigalechanta mentioned! Now I will have to look for those when I go over in January.

I got those boxers for our son a few trips ago. They are sold everywhere, so you won't have to look far:)

If your son Christian is a foodie, maybe mustard, French biscuits, or chocolates. Easy to get and carry and also he sounds like a big eating guy, 6 foot 3!

Or a French CD of a favourite local rock band (ask the people who work at Virgin Megastore to help you).

What about some kind of Lourdes-related item, like these; there are quite a few shops selling religious articles in Paris:
