What TGV station in Paris
 

We are taking the TGV train from Avignon to Paris in early June. We will be staying on Rue Christine. St Michael looks to be the nearest station. Do we go to Gare Nord and take the metro to Michael? Thank you

TGV trains to the various geographic areas leave from specific stations. The TGV trains to Avignon and other points south leave from Gare de Lyon. (St Michel is an RER and metro station, not a station served by TGV or other "grande ligne" trains.)

You are confusing train stations with métro stations. And you don't get to choose where your TGV from Avignon arrives. It arrives at the Gare de Lyon (or CDG, but I assume you haven't made that choice). Once you arrive at the Gare de Lyon you take the métro to whatever stop is closest to your hotel.

I just realized that you are taking the TGV train FROM Avignon and want to know how to get to your accommodation. I'm sorry that I misunderstood your question.

It looks like you'll come into Gare de Lyon (train station serving Avignon), at which you'll want to change to the Metro. The Metro line coming out of Gare de Lyon that you'll need is line 14 (dark purple, going in the direction of St. Lazare). You'll get off at Chatelet, and change to line 4 (light purple, going in the direction of Porte d'Orleans). It looks like you go 2 stops to St. Michel. Hope that helps!

The distance in the Chatelet between the two métro lines must long because the RATP official site recommends walking from the Chatelet to place Saint Michel.

If you have luggage, you might prefer to take a direct bus from Gare de Lyon: bus 24 in the direction of Gare Saint-Lazare will drop you off at Saint-Michel.

Bus 24 is a much better solution than changing lines on the metro at Chatelet, in my opinion. You can take Bus 24 to the next stop beyond St Michel, which is Pont Neuf - Quai des Grands Augustins. Walk around the corner to Rue Dauphine (across from Pont Neuf) and you will be two short blocks away from Rue Christine.

I was able to purchase the cdg to avg with no problem a few days ago. Now I want to purchase avg to Gare de Lyon and am having problems. I am being asked for loyalty program etc. I didn't get this before. Doe anyone know what I am doing wrong?

After you get to St Michel it is a short walk to Rue Christine, if you don;t want to drag bags along crowded sidewalks ther is a taxi stand along the quai right outside the metro station, probably less than 6 Euro to rue christine.

I don't know what website you're using to book your tickets, but certainly on the http://www.voyages-sncf.com/ website, you just leave the discount card/loyalty programmes blank if they don't apply to you.

Ignore the questions about loyalty programs, etc., unless you actually belong (in which case you'd know what to do). Leave them blank.
