I'm with you"aisleseat". When I think of Bavaria I think of the wonderful beer.
I would also like to put in my two cents on visiting Dachau. It can be a very depressing place. With only two days in a wonderful town like Munich I would stay in the center.
I've been to the camp, after dark in the snow and I couldn't wait to get away.

For someone who likes beer, take a side trip from Munich to the Andechs Monastery. The monks there brew a wicked beer, and have wonderful food to go with it---giant pretzels, pork, white radishes...just talking about it revives my taste buds.
