Long live the tourist, we all need a good laugh every now and then!! Seriously though, its great to meet tourists especially friendly ones, I have met lots and have spent my days off work showing them the sights, and have made some long term friends, no problem here.

I thought of this thread yesterday afternoon as I was driving through our downtown "old" section of the city I live in. It was a beautiful day and of course all the business people were busy working. But I saw two different groups of happy people.

One group which looked like grandparents, their grown child and spouse and two little grandchildren had just walked out of a casual but good restaurant. I had to stop at the Stop Sign and watched them unfold some kind of a map/brochure and trying to figure out where to go to next. They headed off to the park. The other was a youngish couple, holding hands and looking so in love. They were enjoying our 85 degree weather with their shorts and sandals. The husband was pointing out various buildings etc.

Very sweet and personally I love seeing tourist enjoying where I live as it makes me appreciate my small city more then I normally do. I envied them actually as both groups looked like they were having a wonderful time.
