Mark, just a thought about flying to Ibiza. Why not look at flying NYC to London, and then using one of the budget carriers (eg Easyjet) to Ibiza? It would probably work out cheaper that way - but because you won't get baggage checked through you might have to leave more time and possibly change airport (unless you fly to Gatwick.)

Just a thought, though...

Leaving end of May for: Budapest, Vienna, Prague - first trip to these areas.

First two weeks of Sept: Zion, Bryce, Arches,Mesa Verde, Monument Valley - road trip in brother-in-law's RV - wondering if we will like that way of travel!

October - Barbadoes or Bermuda

2003 - working on plans for London to Paris via Normandy and Loire Valley

I always feel there are too many places I want to see and not enough time! What to see next? What to push off? Planning and reading about all of your wonderful trips keep me excited.

Going to London & Cotswolds for 6 days later this month, Paris and Provence late June, early July and a cruise to Alaska in Sept. I am going solo first two trips and with family to Alaska. I really love solo travel but will enjoy seeing my son and his girlfriend in Sept. Yes, I do live and work to travel. I am prepared for first trip, Still having a delimma over hotel for second trip. Not much to plan on cruise unfortunately.

Heading to Italy again in July - without the mothers though this time. We will visit the Italian Riviera mainly and pop over to the French side, too. We are staying in SML for the first part of our trip and San Remo for the second part. Then we will top it off with a weekend in Paris in time for Bastille Day before heading home.

Counting the days! Happy traveling to all.

We are off to London for 6 days early June. Then fly to Rome for 5 nights. By rail to Florence, Venice, Murren, Trier and Paris. Return to London and hire a car and see some of England and catch up with some relatives. Also stopping for 3 nights in Singapore on the way back. Getting very excited but not looking forward to the long flight from Australia to London!
Hope everyone has a great holiday this summer and thanks for all the advice and tips from this board.

Next month will be going to Vancouver, Calgary and Washington DC on my own. For Conference/Seminar and pleasure. Will also be stopping over for two night in Brugge for good beer made by monks! Actually I was going to waite in USA for my family to join me for few weeks holiday, but I understood at present the USA is not the right place for middleastern people. Now we have decided and booked to spend August in Germany and Austeria. Already booked a car and hotels in Wurzburg,Rothenburg and Munich. My plan is to drive to nice places and find accommodation for a couple of nights. We are family with two children 9 & 11 from Bahrain.

No Europr trip this summer, but we will be going to N. California for 2 weeks, Napa/Sonoma, Lake Tahoe, and Yosemite early June. Did not want to leave the country, because we are moving(retiring) to Florida(FT. Myers), and we are waiting for our new home to be finished...closing date is very tentative. Hopefully we will fly into Milan end of September, and do the Lake region, French Riviera, and Italian Riviera for 2 weeks. Hope to contact Delta and get our trip soon. Keeping my fingers crossed....

Shrek: be more specific. Do you want accommodations on the Costa Brava? BCN? MAdrid? How long do you have? What kind of project? Do you need to work on it while there?

Hopefully my daughter and I are going to Holland the last of April. Condition is that Northwest is still flying. Maybe we will know soon. One ticket with FF miles and found the other one on a sale. If all this falls through then we will stay home. A friend is coming in May and we will visit Charleston and Beaufort just down the road for me from N. Myrtle Beach. Will enjoy the summer here with the tourist.

I have a ton of plans and I normally count on at least 70% of them materializing. They are (May-August)
Spain (Barcelona, Alicante, Malaga, Granada)
Brazil (friend's 40th and then I am staying on as long as possible)

In the Fall I am back in BCN for a while. . . 2 years is what I am giving myself.

My sister/best friend/traveling companion and I are going to fly out of Portland on May 7. We'll visit Munich, then spend some time in Denmark; after that we go to Berlin, Krakow, Budapest, Prague, Vienna, and back to Munich. Maryfran will then go home, and I'll go to Schwäbisch Hall, Germany a Goethe Institute, where I'll work on my Germany.

After that I'll go to Heidelberg to a reunion of my former students from Heidelberg American High School. They are now in the early 50's. Amazing! They were so cute when they were 16 or 17.
