I was just going to post nearly the same question. Trying to get some Euros and Pounds from my bank is a run around.

I'm wondering if I get Euro & Pound traveler's checks from AAA, when I go to cash them at banks abroad, will I be charged a fee for cashing them?

Does anyone have an legitimate online source to order some cash euros and pounds from which would be delived in one or two days??

Thanks in advance

If you have a debit card, just use an ATM when you arrive at the airport in Spain, Italy, or UK. You might want to check with your bank on their ATM charges before you leave. I haven't used a TC or forex bureau for years.

Buy your euros or pounds in the US and it will cost more.

Hi W and M,

You are, respectively, numbers 130,427 and 130,428 to ask these questions. :)

The least expensive and most convenient way to exchange money is at an ATM in the country you are visiting.

Some people like to bring some cash with them. In that case, exchange $50 or so at the departure airport. It will cost you about $3 more than getting it at the arrival airport.

Have a nice visit.

thanx for the help. Ira, I knew the topic was old, (not 130.000 old, but anyway) when I searched it nothing current came up - so your help is much appreciated. Thanx!
