OK, so sorry to have to make corrections! Go to the hotel CRILLON, not Ritz for the gift shop and in grocery stores, it is eucalyptus HONEY, not mustard. I was trying to do two things at once when typing this, sorry for the confusion...

Since I have such a bevy of expert shoppers here, where do you think is the best place to buy high quality costume jewelry, something very unique? I like to bring back small things I can stick in my carry-on bag.

The basil-scented dishwashing liquid from Monoprix. Takes me back to Paris every time I use it. And it's cheap!
Diptyque candles from the shop on Blvd St Germaine... I know I can get them in North America but its the experience... plus I like the way they wrap the parcels at the shop in Paris.
Annick Goutal scents... again it's the experience and the packaging (and the samples).
Laduree macaroons.
Petit Bateau t-shirts. Best selection.
Isabel Marant clothing.

There is a shop on rue Bonaparte in the 6th which has expensive, high quality, unique costume jewelry. I can't remember its name (I think it has another location in the 6th also). From Blvd.St-Germain walk north on rue Bonaparte towards the Seine, and it will be on the right in the block just before rue Jacob.

Hi Giulia - It's a brand, but there are boutiques all over France and lots in Paris. I know that there are a couple in the 6th... one on Rue Vavin and one on rue de Sèvres. And one on rue Cler in the 7th... probably one in almost every arrondissement! The t's for the oldest children work well on me and my sister...
