My all time favorite book of Greek Myths is indeed a "children's" book - D'Aulaires' Book of Greek Myths is fabulous and will give you a great basic understanding.

I am sure (just because I am who I am), I will look at a couple of children's books but sounds like this is the one to actually buy.

We are soooo excited about this trip. Have been wanting to do this together for many years.

D"Aulaires (sp) is an oversize picture book and while it may be found in the kids' section, the info is quite comprehensive and the pics make it come more "alive". Look at it in the bookstore even if you do not purchase it. It is very worthwhile.
