What not to miss in the Azores?
 

Hi! My husband and I are travelling (child free!) to Sao Miguel and Sao Jorge in late June/early July and I am looking for some recommendations of view points to check out/hikes to do/great beaches or sunsets/etc! We will have a car on each island, and here is the plan so far:

Sao Miguel ( 4 1/2 days, staying in Furnas)
Whale watching/Islet Vila Franca do campo tour
Sete Cidades ( recommendations on where to park and then walk around to get the best views?)
Lagoa do fogo
Surf lesson

Sao Jorge ( 3 days, staying a bit south of Calheta at Faja dos vimes)
Canyoning/biking tour

What else should we make sure to see or do? Thanks!

We are looking into this for next year, so I am interested in replies, too!
