What? Me? British??

I just learned this morning (and I'm nearly sixty) that my father was actually born in England to American parents who were asked by the British Government to return to England (where they were born) to help with the Boar War effort (my grandfather was a saddler). Does that entitle me to British citizenship? Or where might I find out?

Many thanks,

Gerry K

PS: I'm off to London next month. Can't wait!
The boars on my uncle's hog farm frequently had skirmishes.
Did the Brits have a big pig fight somewhere?
One test of a computer's ability to understand spoken language is to see what it does with the Big boar bored a hole in a boor.
Al, better yet - The big boar bored a hole in a boor during the Boer War.
