What logos on Paris ATM machines?
 

I have looked through the various threads related to Paris ATMs but did not find the info I need. So here's a question.

My US Credit Union ATM card (4-digit password) has VISA on the front and Cirrus, Co-op, and Star logos on the back. I know that Co-op is a US network of free ATMs and is not relevant to Paris.

But. . . are there Cirrus or Star network ATMs in Paris? And will my ATM card allow withdrawals from my credit union account at Paris ATMs showing the VISA logo even if my card doesn't have a PLUS logo on it; I know the ATM machine doesn't "look at" the card, but I'm not sure my credit union is really in the PLUS network. (PLUS is apparently the worldwide VISA network)?

I have also sent an e-mail to my credit union asking about this, but I would like to hear from travelers who have had actual experience using credit union ATM cards in Paris.

Yes they're ubiquitous.

The only place you may ever have trouble is belgium - who have their own scheme.

Otherwise those networks are the standdard across Europe.

There isn't a Paris message board - there's just one Europe board

When you typed in "Paris" all it does is help you SEARCH for posts about Paris in the Europe board

I am confused. The message board I regularly access (a saved IE favorite) is Forum--Europe, Text--Paris.

How do I post a new massage (starting a new thread) so that is shows up in that list of threads? I always put "Paris" somewhere in the body of the message, so it is part of the "text." I put it in the title as well.

What else do I need to do?

Also know that an 'indexing' process has to occur before the most recent posts are picked up when you do a search. You should be able to find your own posts by clicking on your name.
