What is your favorite village on the Route du Vin- Alsace?
We will be driving from Strasbourg to Colmar in one day. We want to stop in one, maybe two of the villages along the way. Which ones are your favorite, and why. We will have two children age 4 and 7 with us- any special ideas for them. Looking forward to more great responses from fodorites!!

HI DC,
Just to stop by and have a look, I think that Ribeauville and Riquewihr are the most popular.
Kientzheim is just outside Riquewihr. It is a pleasant walled town with a fortress, a nice wine coop and an interesting history from WWII.

Riquewihr is spectacular, but touristy.
I prefer Eguisheim which is quieter.
Just south of Eguisheim is Gueberschwihr which has kept much of the traditional charme. Nice buildings, good wines and a recommendable hotel there.
