On my last trip, I found very cute macaroon candles at Galleries Lafayette and Printemps. Cute reminder of the real thing!

Esteban Teck and Tonka room spray from BHV. I have never smelled anything quite like it. I smelled it in many shops and finally asked what that delicious smell was!

A nogent paring knife from one of the Paris street markets. About $3 - $5. Saveur Magazine declared it one of the top 100 kitchen tools.

I see lots of wonderful ideas for ladies on your list, but here's one for the young men -- I always bring home a soccer jersey from one of the myriad teams in France for each of my teenage sons, purchased in the Latin Quarter, behind the St Michel fountain. They're inexpensive but always well received and never seem to be taken off long enough to be laundered. They wore their national team jerseys throughout the World Cup last summer.
