here's another vote for the Madison. Great value (when coming from New York), great location (walking distance to all the interesting left bank cafes, the D'orsay, the Sorbonne, the Jardin Luxembourg, Latin Qtr, Notre Dame, Invalides, Tour Eiffel, Louvre, etc.) Even some good shopping on St. Germain nearby and Les Deux Magots is right there too!. If you can, try to get a room with a front view (the St. Germain des Pres is right in front of you!) Wow, I just sold myself.

we stayed at the hotel california in the 8th. It was very nice-and our room was very large(even by us standards)The buffet breakfast was pricy though. It is a two block walk to the arc and the street on one end is the champs and the other the faubourg(great shopping) Wear good shoes and take care of your feet! We finally got good walking shoes while there(but unfortunatly for me a little to late)Have fun

Hi Lara,
My husband and I are doing a 2nd honeymoon in late April and I too am debating hotels...looking for location and definately a romantic room. There;s just too many to choose from. Have a nice trip!
Has anyone stayed at St. Thomas d'Aquin in the Latin Quarter rescently?? It's locations seems great as well as it's price, but I find little info on it.....
