What is the most charming city/town in Spain?

And why?

In our limited travels in Spain (Barcelona to south of Valencia, and inland a hundred miles or so) we found Peniscola to be one of our favorites. If you do a search on this coastal town you will learn about it's delightful history, including how the only Spanish pope was confined to this penisular fortress/castle when he would not abdicate his throne. The movie El Cid (with Charlton Heston) was filmed in the castle (after the movie company helped restore parts of it. We spent several evenings stting at outdoor cafes drinking wine while admiring the beautifully lit coastline. This year we're going further south, to the Coasta del Sol, and inland to the "white villages" (Ronda is high on the list of many who have toured the area).

Barcelona is my favorite city in the world for living, and I absolutely love Segovia for a visit. However, the city that I always go back to; the one that always comes to mind when I have a long weekend and no plans, is Zaragoza. I go there as much as possible and I could not tell you why except that I could walk there forever and never get bored with it.

The region of Alicante has a lot of charm, though, and I hold Altea in high esteem. There is also a small village, Bugarra, in Valencia, that is a time warp in the best sense of the concept.

All of these suggestions look great. I did a search on Yahoo Images to give me an idea.
Thank you!
laclaire, have you been to Ronda? On Images, I read that it was touristy but incredible when you see the view. Are there things to do in the area?
Thanks again for your help!

Toledo. It looks like something out of a fairy tale.
