P_Texas, Yes, it was in the 8th arrondissement. On one of the side streets when you walk down the Champs towards the Arc. I looked for more info. in my business travels and could not produce more than that. Sorry! But, when I was in Montpellier I also had a similar hot chocolate. They brought you a carafe of chocolate and a carafe of cream and you did the mixing. And the coffee sat on a little heater to keep it warm. (This was near the Trois Grace statue, behind McDonalds. Since I lived there a bit I remember this location well!) So it can't be that uncommon if I had it in France 2x...? Good luck! Post back and let us know.

A few questions--Where can you get a vin chaud? Any place that serves alcohol?
I thought Chambord (raspberry liqueur)was used in Kir. If I wanted to make one at home how muh chambord (or cassis) would I use? I'm thinking maybe an ounce?
How is a cafe creme different from a cafe Americano with cream? Thanks!

Yes, coco but without the wormwood it is not true absinthe. I have had the new product have two slotted spoons and a few years ago I went to Pontarlier after reading "Absinthe, history in a bottle" by Barnaby Conrad. They call it a Pons there. The bartender gave me two glasses to take home that say Pontarlier-anis.

We always drop our bags and head for Les Deux Magots for a sandwich or Croque Madam, accompanied by a bottle of Vittel. I know I'm in Paris then. Although I'd like a Kronenbourg or wine, I want my head to be clear when we go to get our Carte Orange and Mobilis passes

Sue-

A pink cremant is a rose sparkling wine (I can't remember how to make an accent mark- grrr!).

Cremants are sparkling wines that are not made in the Champagne region and can't legally be called Champagne. There are some wonderful values in cremants if you are looking for a good bubbly.

I think I will have to pop one open tonight to help me dream of Paris!
