What is the best way to get from Bayeux to Nice?
I'm planning a trip in the spring and would love to spend a couple days in Normandy (visiting the D-Day beaches on Memorial Day and Mont St. Michel the next day). The next part of our trip takes us to Nice, but I'm wondering what the best way is to get there. Is it possible to take an overnight train from Normandy to Nice?

I don't think overnight trains from NOrmandy to Nice exist, but the www.sncf.com site will tell you.
There is service now between Rennes and Avignon, but the trip is just under 8 hours, then you add another 3-4 to get to Nice. I think your best bet would be to go back to Paris and then take the TGV.
