Thanks Nikki. Turns out that from our seats from JFK to Rome we will be unable to see the movie screen. No other 2 seats together are available right now so we'll either have to skip the in flight entertainment or try to switch seats when we check in.

Ahhh, The Lockheed L-1011. Best flights I ever had were on those beautiful TriStars. Just had an e-news from NW saying that for a nominal fee you can reserve exit row and other good seats. These are normally dished out at the boarding gate, to those who ask. |
And I hope that "for a nominal fee you can reserve....'good' seats" routine FLOPS big time.

As to one discrepancy between seatguru and the airline's seat chart - the airline seat chart won't display bathrooms or bulkheads, you'll probably just see an empty area that looks like an aisle or a place to stretch out your legs when it's not.

"I have a Q.....I looked at seatguru.com and the seat configuration didn't match what Delta or Air France was showing. I checked and double checked to make sure I was selecting the right type of aircraft. What's up with that? Any ideas? Thanks"
Delta is reconfiguring some of their fleet right now and it has been commented on at flyertalk.com that this has caused a discrepency in Seatguru vs. Delta.com. Try this link: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=636476 |
Here's another site that will help you in various ways. Lots of info.

Say what? Author: Dukey Date: 03/29/2007, 04:52 pm And I hope that "for a nominal fee you can reserve....'good' seats" routine FLOPS big time. Give us a few more words. I'm dense tonight. |
I also miss the Tri-Star. THE plane to fly if you were claustrophobic. :) Ahh, miss those trips around the Southeast on that big beautiful bird.
PS I also noticed that the AA flight I'm on, AA website shows an additional galley but seatguru does not. However, the info I found useful was that the engines were at the rear of the plane on my flight, and therefore moved to front. :) |
Thanks to everyone. It'll just be a surprise......as long as they HAVE seats for us, I'll be happy!

About the Lockheed L1011:
- It's comfy unless your airline put 10-abreast in coach, like Cathay Pacific. The seats are so narrow that I cannot use both my arms during mealtime. - Just wonder where would the passengers sitting in the middle section put their carryons? I guess 22" rolleraboards are OUT! :) |
