Hilton Park Lane is a 5 star hotel and very nice. Great views over Hyde Park and very central to Oxford Street and Knightsbridge for shopping and visiting Harrods and the West End for theatre and shows. In regards to the Hilton Mews if you contact Hilton Park Lane they will be able to give you information on them. The Hilton Metropole is quite a large hotel(almost 1000 bed rooms) and if you are coming for a holiday I would not recommend it. Hilton Kensington is in a quite area and the Hilton Olympia is located near High Street Kensington and has recently been refurbished.

If you are looking for more traditional type hotels try the Covent Garden Hotel. This is a boutique style 5 star hotel but located right in the heart of the West End. If modern and funky then there is the St Martins Lane hotel owned by Ian Schrager. Very hip and funky lots of famous people hang out there.

Sorry to go so will stop before I list every hotel in London. Hope some of this helps. Oh must mention both the Marriot Town Hall hotel and the Thistle Royal Horseguards. These are 2 of only a handfull of hotels that overlook the Thames river. Marriot a bit more modern and the Royal Horseguards more traditional. Again excellent locations espceially if you want to go onto the London Eye. Check out the web site listed as they will give you lots of info on what to do and see in London

http://www.londontown.com/
Linda,
If you are going to use points for the Mews you better make the reservation quickly. I tried to book the Mews 8 mos in advance using my Honors points with no luck. If you are doing late spring through early fall, good luck. They hold very few rooms for Honors redemption. The day before arrival they had several rooms still available and would not release them and I have a ton of points and give Hilton a lot of business.
