What is Half board?

Help me! I'm coming across the term half board while searching for hotels in Burgundy. I'm not completely clear on what this means. I'd appreciate a clear definition. I know its talking about a meal with hotel, but which one?
Thanks

To my knowledge it is breakfast and supper..If it was full board it would be 3 meals..Other's have previously told you this in your other posts...If in doubt still, email the hotels that you are in question of and ask them..

Boy, I better watch myself, people get pretty blunt when you do something wrong:) Sorry about the repeated post! After being up until 4:00am doing research, I couldn't remember later if I'd already asked the question, then remembered just as I posted the second message. Please forgive me...
