What is Croatia like?

I am thinking about going to Croatia this summer. There seems to be so little about it. Any thoughts?

A friend of mine just went to Croatia and loved it. He went to Split and Zagreb. Split is on the coast and can be your gateway to the islands. You can fly into Zagreb from Frankfurt or Zurich for sure and then fly to Split from Zagreb - 50 min. flight. If you go to the islands go to Hvar. If you go to Zagreb, stay at the Palace Hotel.

Also try:
http://www.dalmatia-mid.com/

http://www.dalmatianet.com/

http://www.st.carnet.hr/split/

http://www.htz.hr/
