Late May... depending on where you are flying from you may be able to get anything from the mid-$600s to the mid-$900s. For me personally, flying out of Denver, the best I can get without a corporate travel discount is about $750 for mid- to late May.

we booked open jaw San Francisco-Genoa
Venice-San Francisco. only 1 stop each way in Munich. times were perfect, departure and arrivals, also the shortest flight times. perfection. booked through Lufhansa, for May 8
thru May 24. $1002.00 including taxes.
(recieved one of these free through my
c/c company) so my net cost is only
$501 p/p. I know it's possible that I
could have saved an additional 50/75
net per person, but I was wanting specific scheduling I did not to risk losing

Try American Airlines, I had booked over a month ago for 1200 total for 2 people with 2 stops out of orlando. Looked last night and the same exact flights are now 1050 total for the two tickets including all taxes

Wow. $1200 for two people out of Orlando? Is it the Orlando or is it the dates that make this so inexpenisive. I just took your suggestion and checked for NYC to VCE/FCO in early June and it is more than that for ONE person round trip.

Not sure about if its orlando or not but i was happy to get it for even less (1050)2 nights ago.
I would assume its cheaper out of major hubs since I have to go to either Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Philly or JFK first.

Try British if they fly out of Orlando or have a connection that's convenient. I almost always find the best prices with them from SF. Just got one for 3/14 SF/London/Barcelona, return 4/30 Paris/London/SF for $707.40 pp.
Good luck!

Just to close the loop on this, after much searching and investigating (thanks to all for the info), I booked passage from Boston to Heathrow to Rome and back for $770 per on British Airways, includes ALL fees, taxes, fuel charges, etc. Great flight times and short layovers - thru ASAPtickets.com.
Everyone advertised better prices, but when all fees and taxes and fuel was added I was always looking at $900+.
Very happy - thanks to all.
Ciao Baby!

I ended up paying $1100 canadian which comes to close to $900 american for an open jaw flight
toronto-->frankfurt-->venice
rome-->toronto
so direct flight from rome to toronto
it's the best i could find, flights from the US were cheaper (volume I guess?) and I got tired of waiting for sales
