What is an SNCF boutique? And are they only found in France?
Hello -
I purchased some tickets off the sncf website today, but they were not fares that were eligible to be printed off in ticket form. I know that you can use the automated machines or wait in line at the train station to pick up your ticket. But apparently you can also use a SNCF boutique; is that a travel agent with the sncf logo?? What is that? In addition, would it be possible to pick up these tickets while in Rome or Venice? I plan on buying a TrenItalia ticket while in Rome from a travel agent with the FS logo, is it possible to get my tickets for France at the same agent or are these "boutiques" only in France?
Thanks

It's an SNCF store, somewhere other than the train station, where you can buy tickets. Yes, they are only in France. I don't think it's possible to buy SNCF tickets in Italy - but someone may prove me wrong.

I doubt you can pick them up in Italy. SNCF boutiques are locations where you can pick up your tickets that are not in train stations. They are owned by the train company and function as a travel agency but just sell train tickets , car rentals , and hotel rooms. They are only located in France.
