What is Alpe di Siusi, Italy like in May
 

We will be traveling to Castelrotto, Italy in mid May and are looking for things to do in the area. I understand Alpe di Siusi is a beautiful area and is very close. Are any of the lifts open in mid May or do we have to drive/take bus to get there? And even if we can get there...will it be too snowy/muddy to walk there?

Any other suggestions for mid May activities near Castelrotto?

Wekiva - Unfortunately most of the lifts don't reopen until late May/ June. Here's the opening calendar:

The Seiseralm lift from Siusi has a longer season so might just be open in mid May.

Otherwise you can certainly get up there by bus from Castelrotto - or by car.
