What happened to the old "ask the expert" hosted forums?
 

Fodors used to have its writers host forums every couple of weeks about specific destinations (New York, the Caribbean, Italy, etc.), where we could ask questions of the experts and get advice. Then they stopped doing that, but at least you could still access the old threads, which was useful because they had lots of good advice. Now there seems to be no link whatsoever to the old hosted forums, or if there is one, I can't find it. Does anyone know how to access them?

They obviously went the way of the Fodor's staff cutback a few months ago.

I can understand if they didn't want to offer new hosted forums, but it wouldn't have cost them anything to keep the link to the old ones so that we could continue to access them. There was nothing to maintain because we couldn't post new messages to them anyway, and they had lots of useful information.

I find if you click on one of the links under the old hosted forums, you are simply directed back to the main Forums page. The links do not work!

Oh drat, you're right.<BR><BR>Can't imagine why they blocked access to all that great info.
