I gave my daughter a 15-days Eurail Flexipass for her 40-days trip to Europe. She will be leaving on the 15th of January.

I got the "1,000 Places To See Before You Die" book and a subscription to Travel Girl magazine. Had never heard of this magazine so it will be interesting to check out. Also got a Healthy Back bag to use on my 2007 travel adventures!

Happy New Year to All!

An LL Bean travel alarm, a book called "The Key to Rome" which looks useful, and a leather passport wallet. Got the "1,000 Places" book last year, great browsing.

I received a Moleskin "guidebook" to Paris. It is a small Moleskin notebook with color maps of Paris, a pocket in the back (which I will use to hold receipts and wine labels) and many many blank pages with several dividers, which I can personalize. I am on my way to having the absolutely perfect Paris guidebook between past advice to myself and tips gleaned from this board and various other sources (it even comes with tracing paper for walking itineraries, etc...).

Sony e reader - 10,000 pages in a tiny book. I'll never run out of books on a trip again nor have to decide between my coat or taking books! Oh joy!

I got a new 7.1 Megapixel Kodak EasyShare camera with a 10x optical zoom, with a 2 gig Sandisk to go with it. My Sony Cybershot finally died (RIP).

I've been shooting pictures of the blizzard here in Denver ever since, and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I can't wait to travel with it!

Don't know if this counts, but my adult son just return from Mexico and brought me a 'reboZo' as a lovely gift from a Mexican family that have adopted him. It is absolutely beautiful and I will cherish it always.

They have them for other cities as well. Tell us how it worked for you when you get back.

I got a Streetwise Paris map, and French language discs for the car. We are off to Paris on Feb. 15.

Gave my bro a glass dish bought in Venice last year, if that counts.
