What does "topping" mean when posted?

I have seen this written quite a few times throughout various messages, and was curious about the meaning.

Thanks!

by adding a reply "ttt" it brings you posting back up to the top of the forum list. Therefore your message has a better chance of getting a response.

I am pretty sure. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

:)

Hi I love,

"Topping" or "ttt" (to the top) is a way for some kind fodorite to bring a post to the forefront usually because it has slipped down the list without really being addressed.

Perhaps that kind fodorite doesn't have anything to add but wants there to be a chance for someone else to answer it.

Like I wish someone would do to my most recent post, ha, it slipped off the main 50 about a half hour ago, ha.

:(

Best wishes, T.

It's to bring the post back up to the top of the list. When you respond to a post it brings it back up to number 1 for awhile anyaway. So, when a post gets buried at the bottom of the pile, a poster can respond to it and it takes it to the top again. Sometimes a poster that "tops" it may not have an answer to the question so will just say "topping" or "ttt", and is kind enough to bring it back up to draw further attention to it and maybe there will be some responses.

Hi tiff, you can also "top" your own post, you don't have to wait for someone else to do it.
