Okay, does this mean that the bathroom facilities are in the room (in Europe)? I dont know how to tell with some of the hotel descriptions, and I dont want to take it for granted and be surprise, because i'm not a 'walk down the hall' person anymore.

Yes "en suite" means the bathroom is in your room.
