That even though the overnight planes land in Europe in the early morning, most hotels won't let you chck in until 2:00<BR><BR>Don't try to do major sightseeing your first day; use that day to get acclimated <BR><BR>That in May London weather can actually be worse than in February<BR><BR>That some places will not accept your college ID as proof of student status; sometimes you need the International Student ID Card to get discounts<BR><BR>That the Spaniards partied SO hard...they wore me out!!

<BR>1. Get the cellphone. My 10-year old son and I got lost at night going back to a B&B in Ireland because he needed his inhaler; my husband and and others stayed at the restaraunt for dessert. THEN we had car trouble. Late at night, lost, no inhaler, no flashlight. I was mighty happy to have my cellphone to get help -- we didn't see another car for a long time.<BR>2. Carry a travel flashlight at all times (especially if driving at night). (See above)<BR>3. Carry the inhaler. (See above)<BR>4. At least two alternate ways to pay (as others already mentioned).<BR>
