What do you do to unwind after a trip?
First thing I do is head for my bathtub, soak and then take a nap.

Bring in the bags, pet the guys, and open champagne. Always. So refreshing, such a happy way to re-enter one's normal routine. And then I hit the shower, glass in hand, and then drag the rest of the bubbly to bed and dreamland. Coming back home again is part of the fun of travelling.

RnR sounds good the champagne I think I will do that next time I return from a trip.<BR><BR>duh is that all you can think of? just curious...
Usually we just take a shower and go to bed as it is usually night when we return from trips to Europe. This time my sister had a giant meal planned for us so we had lasagna and tiramisu and then went to bed. <BR><BR>But the very first thing I do when I get through the door is hug my two fur-babies and let them lick my face all over. The hardest part about traveling is leaving them behind.

RnR you are one sick puppy. Don't talk about petting your "guys" on a family site like this.
x you are one dumb person...RnR probobly is referring to pets...sounds like you are the one with the sick mind...
to the last poster - are you for real? you think this guy is really talking about pets? how naive! let me fill you in on a few nick names for the "package"<BR><BR>guys<BR>balls<BR>boys<BR>peanuts< BR>jewels<BR>nads<BR><BR>need more? wake up and smell the coffee!
I mean listen to his entire post<BR><BR>He talks of <BR><BR>hitting it<BR><BR>normal routine<BR><BR>champagne<BR><BR>and having fun<BR><BR>throw in petting the guys and what do you think he is referring to?
We usually stay in NY one night upon returning from Europe before we catch our flight to Florida. We love NY and always stay near Central Park. This helps us break up a long flight from being even longer. We feel better when we get home instead of feeling so tired. We find a good restaurant and talk about our trip over a bottle of good wine!
When we come home, we read all the mail that is waiting,I make coffee for the next morning, then go to bed.<BR>The next day,our "guy" is brought to our house, and we all pet him and have our happy reunion.<BR>I agree, the worst thing about taking a trip sometimes, is leaving our furry friends at home.
My routine is basically the same as RnR's. Without getting our minds in the gutter, I pet my "dogs" of course, the four legged kind. And I forgo the champagne in favor of a great Merlot.<BR><BR>
We head immediately to La Reyna for some very good (and sorely-missed) Tex-Mex food! Next comes a greasy hamburger and a thick chocolate malt! Good to be home. Jinx Hoover

Unwind AFTER a trip?? I take the trip TO unwind! <BR><BR>For me, it's back home on the late flight from Paris, throw open the suitcase, hurl the laundry in the machine, go through the two-foot stack of mail and sort out what's important and throw out what's not, listen to the messages on the answering machine and delete most of them, open a bottle of St-Emilion and pretend I really haven't come home after all, then sleep like a log and hit the office running the next morning. Unwind? I wish......
A clarification, please: I assume by "package" one refers to sexual organs, the complete set, or package. Various alternative words or phrases were offered. Not to be too ribald, but may I expand the list to include my guys, a couple of Maine Coon Cats. If we wished to really get down and dirty, I could tell you about my homecoming routine with the chicken.
but RnR-do they kiss you ?
"Unwind"??? I'm too busy being depressed to need to unwind!
Awww, depressed I know what you mean:(<BR>But you have to start planning the next trip on the plane home. That helps a lot.Make lists for the next day after you get home, then you can start your research.<BR>And don't forget to mail all those postcards you brought home with you that will arrive many weeks after you are home:o)
