what do you do on vacation?
What makes people fly 1000's of miles and spend 1000's of dollars.
|
art, history, food, wine........
|
Let's see -- the Alps, walking thru the Tower of London and seeing where those imprisoned hundreds of years ago had scrawled their final messages to the world, Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, the Palace of Schoenbrunn in Vienna, the view of Salzburg from the Hohensalzburg Fortress, feeling like you are at the top of the world on the Jungfraujoch in Switzerland, standing in front of the Nightwatchmen by Rembrandt in Amsterdam's Rijksmuseum. I could go on and on and I still haven't talked about the food or the wine!

On my vacations I do not go anywhere but my living room. I camp out in front of my computer with some chips and pop and spend endless hours posting messages on message boards just to see if someone will answer.

My hubby and I just hang out together. We took our first joint European trip together after the kid left the nest. Found out that we still really like one another. So we visit new and old places, figure out how to get around, and meet folks. Tis grand!
