Proud to say that no Starbucks has yet opened in the Basque Country...

...yet.....I used to think there would never be any McDonalds and I know at least three (not much for a population of 2,5 million, though...)

Oh yes, the café con leche is the best!

Regarding McD's , I have seen at least two in Madrid and one in Salamanca (but have never been in!).

The way children are included in nearly everything.

PS at least 3 McDs in A Coruna :-(

As a local, how bars are considered places to socialize (and not to get drunk) and where families and kids are welcome.

The happy disorder of things (although we are becoming more and more "Europeans" and that spirit is getting lost).
