I forget my travel alarm clock.
Even if they have one, I like my clock that I am sure I know how to set.

I always make sure I take my health insurance card with my doctor's name and number on it.

The tickets? Emergency phone numbers?

One thing per child that they are really, really attached to and might alleviate any homesickness? But with luck they'll be too busy.

Address book or diary with addresses for all those postcards.

I'd second the spare glasses, but my attitude is "They do have shops in ...."

I like to pack pain relieving "goo" for my tired feet. I'm not accustomed to walking as much in my daily life as I would on vacation.

I keep a list of things to take, compiled over the years, in my organizer. Of course you have to go over it and check things off. None of which kept me from forgetting my electronic alarm clock the last time. Now I have two. Regretably I cannot share my list because it's too revealing.

I travel a lot and often on a last minute basis. I have a set of toiletries (many in sample size...love it when the cosmetic counters have gift with purchase) and medication all packed and ready to go and I never dip into it. I keep my passport and a credit card on which I am carrying no balance together and always in the same place...now in general things I have forgotten..my nightie as I tend to think I will just throw it in and tooth brush..same warped logic..oh and the time I forgot my method of birth control..that I am delightfully reminded of when I look at my youngest son.

I almost always forget at least one of these 3: tooth brush, photo camera, sunglasses. It might be just me, but still...

I usually forget my toothbrush and cell phone charger. The important stuff has already been packed for days before the trip.

On a funny note - on our last ski trip with our good friends and their teenage daughter (we have 3 teenage daughters ourselves) we had the girls double check and triple check eveything. "Yep, everything is packed."

Well, we arrived at our destination and our friends' daughter had forgotten her SUITCASE!!

Travelbunny definitely wins Aggiemom: you're right, the cell phone charger!
I also have the toiletry bag full of sample sizes, but only take it when I'm off for just one night or something.

Although it's not entirely here nor there, at this point, since you seem to have found your way back to this thread - - it still seems worth commenting on your posting the same question twice. Most likely, you did it because you weren't sure i your post "took", or felt like you couldn't immediately find it. Although you are not "all that new", it may be that you don't know yet about "click on your own name" - - or the need to click again a couple of time ( ore refresh, or both) to get ALL your posts.

Best wishes,

Rex

p.s. I should have been more specific to say that I don't have any children, hence I have never forgotten the above, ha, just thought your kidlets would enjoy plane treats.

Um, your on vacation...why would you need an alarm clock & secondly, they have two small children, why would they need an alarm clock ? Copies of passports are near the top of my list.
