What can be purchased for 20 Euros?

A while back I posted a message asking for gift ideas for my brother and his wife who will be visiting Ireland after Christmas. Someone suggested giving them some Irish currency and someone else suggested. I bought them a couple of guide books and ordered 20 Euros from the bank. What are some examples of things that can be purchased for that amount?

Do you want me to consult the till receipt from my latest shopping expedition? You can get two large packets of detergent and have a little change; three-quarters of a leg of lamb; a turbot that is a generous meal for two; a bottle of half-decent wine.

[Not all of the above; any of the above.]

20 Euros is 30 USD. It'll get them a simple lunch for 2, or cheap dinner for 1.

What you could buy today in the States for $29.45.

As J62 says -- lunch in a pub or cafe - or - entrance to Blarney castle w/ €4 left over - or - entrance to the Rock of Cashel w/ €9.40 left over.

A trip to the grocery store. They can bring back some tea, cookies, and a few chunks of cheese and we can all sit around and have a little tasting party while they show off their pictures.
