Received the brand new Nureyev biography plus a first edition of A Certain Smile by Francoise Sagan. And the latest Nigela Lawson cookbook.

I'm jumping on the A Thousand Splendid Suns train. I'm about halfway finished, and I can't put it down. There are some great books on this thread, though, that I am now going to put on my Amazon wish list.

As usual I got a lot of books for Christmas because that's what I love getting. I finished reading one of them already, Marie Phillips' Gods Behaving Badly. Olympian gods reside in a ramshackle house in contemporary London, a pair of unsuspecting mortals enter their lives, and mayhem ensues. It's a hoot.

I've just started reading "The Blood of Flowers" by Anita Amirrezvani (sorry, I know I botched the spelling), set in Persia and told from the POV of a young girl who makes carpets in Isfahan. It's very good so far.
