What are your favorite Italy travel planning web sites?

I am planning a three week trip to Italy. Just by luck, I found this forum. I can't begin to tell you much much I've learned at this site! It has made me wonder, "What other great sites are out there that I have not yet discovered?"

Have you discovered www.slowtrav.com and its related message board at www.slowtalk.com? They're noncommercial sites with tons of information about Italy.

Have fun planning and check in with us often.

Bon viaggio

For Rome I really enjoyed the site for the American Catholic Church in Rome--http://www.santasusanna.org. We printed out the restaurant list and enjoy dining at a couple of them. Regardless of your religious beliefs--I thought this was a good site.

There are dozens, but if I only used 3 they would be:
www.slowtrav.com
www.initaly.com
www.twenj.net[ for Rome]

Good luck--planing IS the fun !

Not as good for Italy as some of the other countries and destinations cited here, but still very worth your while:

I don't know why www.enit.it is so rarely mentioned in posts of this sort.
I think it is great.

Besty, Kmarie, Gary, Bob, Rex, RAR, and David,
Thank you very much for suggesting sites that will help with my planning. Like many of you, I find planning the trip is just as much fun as going on the trip!

davidx,

Yes, I agree with you. ENIT is good and it's the site of the Official Tourist Office in Italy. Very informative, especially, when you are looking for special information.
