I remember so well that when I first started traveling to France in the late 1970s, there seemed to be a boucherie chevaline in every village, and tons of them all over Paris.

I ate horsemeat with some frequency back then, but haven't seen it on a menu in a dog's age.

I did a quick scan and did not find either of these listed.

Glace nougat

Streetside made crepe

When we went to Paris last fall glace nougat was THE first thing I HAD to get after my first taste some 12 years previous. Had it every night after dinner when I saw it on the menu. Still think about it almost a year later.
