Monaco Casinos are much more formal than Vegas. Men in suits, women in Dresses. I'm not sure if there are smaller places which are more relaxed, but the big ones definitely have dress codes.

They have a very strict dress code, this is not tacky vegas. More than likely you would'nt make it past the front door if you don't meet the dress code requirements

We were in Monte Carlo a few years ago. I was dressed very neatly but in shorts. After 6PM they did not let me in. <BR><BR>Some people in jeans were just walking in. Go figure.<BR><BR>

The Main Grand Casino has STRICT dress code- COAT and TIE for men- dresses or pantsuits for women and THEY CHARGE an ENTRY fee--this is the CASINO that the James Bond movies were filmed in--VERY ORnate,FANCY, and WONDERFUL!! DEFINITELY GO IN THERE and head to the "American" room to play ROULETTE.<BR><BR>The other casinos are MUCH more casual-<BR>No major dress code except NO shorts-<BR>You will see anything in those casinos and they reminded me more of Vegas and has NO entrance fees.

I know the Grand Casino will photocopy your passport upon entry - and in 1998 charged 50 francs for entry - and yes, it wa very quiet - don't miss out on having a drink at the bar and talking to the locals though - does that help?

7-11 I went too the grand casino 2 years ago as a backpacker, and all I had on was a tan t shirt and black shorts.. I just found a picture.. of course it was mid day when it wasn't that full.
