Italy is a country, not a town.

Without being rude, I think if you did a a little research on your own, this will be easy. Of course you need to be more specific about location and budget to get more information. And you can get reviews and rankings over at Tripadvisor.

Can you be serious? There are 20,000+ hotels in Italy. What does "best" mean?

There should be a contest for posts like these. Problem is, it would encourage more of them.

The question is preposterous. You don't plan a vacation around hotels, you plan the hotels around your vacation.

Please-

What cities

Define "good"

What is your budget?

We are not mind readers.

If you want the best hotels in Italy have a look at Conde Nast Traveler and Travel & Leisure best hotels. Expect to pay $800 per night and up.

Hello Guys,

Thank you for all your response. Just for the benefit of everybody, I'm a real person. Mimar is right, I am doing a survey for the best hotels in Italy for an article to post. I'm sorry if the question is too broad, "best" would probably mean, hotels with quality service, amenities, location and the design of the hotel itself. I hope you guys can help me with this.

Thank you adrienne, for answering it to the point.

Best regards.

Hassler Roma - Rome
Grand Hotel Majestic Gia Baglioni - Bologna
Hotel Savoy - Florence
Palazzo Barbarigo - Venice

These are based on experience and friends recommendations. Grand Hotel Majestic Gia Baglioni and Palazzo Barbarigo are my favorites.

Word of advice when you are asking for help, particularly a survey for a commercial purpose, i.e. an article for which you expect to be paid: identify yourself and your project, just a common courtesy IMHO.

It is extremely inappropriate to use this forum for a survey without telling people so. Most of us are here to provide answers to other travelers and may or may not choose to take part in a survey.

(By the way, this isn't really a survey - just a random question with no meaning. How you could write an article based on it beats me. It appears that you need a lot more information about both journalism and market research. If you are going to ask a question at least ask one that is precise - so the answers make sense.)

I am pretty sure the topic of your alleged article has been beat to death. Just google or subscribe to Conde Naste.

Well, Wynona, you should have stated your intent up front. And I don't know where you plan to "post" this "article," but as a publisher I'd have to say you clearly lack even the basic qualifications of a writer. Not to mention that the topic itself is absurd. But good luck.
