What are nice hotels in Zakopane, Poland?

My family of 6 (4 adults and 2 children - 9 and 11) are going to Zakopane for 4 nights in 2013. Do you have any suggestions for a clean, nice hotel with a pool (in case it rains - for the kids!), with breakfast and that is near to the main part of town, at least reasonable walking distance.

Stayed at Hotel Dwor Karolowka, a beautiful and fairly new hotel, reasonably priced but a bit outside of town (shuttle every 15 min) but with no pool that I recall. Lots of nice hiking trails adjacent though. I know thats not much help to you given your criteria but have a great stay in that wonderful sort of quirky mountain town.

we stayed twice at the downtown Giewont Hotel..small, good service, good breakfasts, decent rooms, walk everywhere. It's now part of the Orbis chain. "Quirky sort of mountain town"..that hits it perfectly, Toucan. We came down the mountain in a snowstorm from Stary Smokevec in Slovakia...hair raising.

I stayed at the Zabala hotel right in town - across from the Tatra Museum. No pool. Breakfast included. The hotel staff was wonderful and the restaurant was good. Since you want a pool if it rains I guess you're looking for an indoor pool?

Will you have a car? What will you do for 4 days in Zakopane? There's not that much there.

No pool, but we stayed in the Willa Orla which was very nice, about a 15 minute walk from downtown along the street known for its Zakopane architecture. It had a good buffet breakfast.

Thanks all. I've been there as a child and have fond memories and want to introduce my family to this area of Poland. I'm thinking we can walk up to/around the area of Morskie Oko, visit Gubalowka, Kasprowy Wierch and do some other hiking. We'll have 3 full days.
