What are European power outlets like?

Hi everyone!

I know that English power outlets have three square shaped holes, and an adapter is needed.
In France, their outlets have two round holes, nothing like American outlets.
What's the rest of Europe like? Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, etc
I know that their voltage is 220v versus 110v in the US.

Yes, basically there are two round holes in Europe. But now and then you get some unusual arrangements. Some in Italy have three round holes in a row and the stanard in Switzerland seems to be three round ones in a triangular arrangement.

Go to Google and enter europe voltage for a wealth of information.

Check with: http://kropla.com/electric2.htm
to see what plugs are in use everywhere on the "Electricity Around The World" site.
