If you want to ski you should consider one of the villages around Innsbruck, not the town of Innsbruck itself.

Please be aware that in February many Austrian schools close for holidays (called energy holidays because in former times they were meant to save energy in public buildings as schools). Therefor February is High Season, many hotels will be completely booked and/or will have higher prices. Book early!

Info on Innsbruck, the ski resorts around Innsbruck, what to do etc:

Everything is already book, actually months ago. Just waiting for the day to come. Can you tell me how far we are from St. Anton?

Innsbruck is about 100 km from St. Anton am Arlberg, more than 1 hour by car under normal weather conditions.

You can get the train from Innsbruck to Seefeld. The journey takes around 40 minutes and trains leave every hour. The ski-ing in Seefeld is fabulous and if you are an experienced skier you should go to the Rosshute. When you get off the train it is only about a 10 minute walk to the cable car.

The train journey to Seefeld is fantastic - sit on the left hand side of the train going there, relax and just enjoy the views.

Have a brilliant time.
