Westminster Tube Exit

I am embarking on my 2nd visit to London next week and need some advice. I plan on taking the Wesminster Walk with London Walks and their website says to meet at Exit 4 of Westminster station. I haven't been on the tube and plan to take the #24 bus which will drop me off on Whitehall just up the street from Parliament. For all of you who know the area can you tell me where this is? I do remember a big set of stairs on the river side of Whitehall directly opposite Big Ben. Could this be exit 4? Any directional advice would be appreciated.

Hi, it's the exit opposite Big Ben.

Enjoy your trip!

SusieR - Thank you. I thought so but wanted to make sure I wasn't standing in the wrong place.

Just look for a bunch of people in anoraks looking at leaflets. That'll be them.

Here is what you want to know:

Your recollection is correct - exit 4 is on Bridge Street, across from the bell tower.

The #24 stop you will alight at is F, and is titled "Westminster." Keep going down the street in the same direction the bus came from, and turn left at the first corner.

Note - exit 4 is NOT the one w/ the big stairs on the riverside that bring you up across from Big Ben.

#4 is directly across the street from Big Ben. No stairs (well except for a few steps inside the tube station itself)

Thank you everyone. I am printing this and taking it with me.

trvlgirlmq - We took that walk in February and really enjoyed it. The guide was friendly and it wasn't too crowded to be able to hear what was being said. Enjoy yourself!

We took that walk...from the bus I went inside the tube station and just looked for number 4. It worked.

Thank you to everyone who assited me with directions. Robespierre, that map was perfect. I did find the exit and the group waiting for the walk. More on that when I post my trip report this weekend.
