Westin Palace Madrid - Pool?

Does anyone know if the Westin Palace Hotel in Madrid has a pool? We are going on Friday for a long weekend and are wondering if they have a heated indoor or an outdoor pool we might take a evening dip in? I don't see any info on it on the website and I don't want to dig out my bathing suit for nothing!
Thank in advance.

Topping this for you. The hotel has a fitness center but as I recall there is no pool.

Hopefully someone else will have more definite information.

I've stayed at the Palace and I'm 99.9% sure there is no pool. My son , then 13, was with me and I'm sure he would have wanted to go to the pool if there was one.

I looked at the hotel website and, like you, found no information about a pool. Also, the write up on at least one web-based "travel guide" says nothing about the presence of a pool.

In this dog-eat-dog world of hotel competition I seriously doubt that any establishment that has a pool, in Madrid, wouldn't do everything possible to advertise it.

Of course, there is at least one poster here who thinks that hotels don't want more business than they can handle and therefore wouldn't advertise the pool presence..yeah, right!!!

Guess I leave the bathing suit at home. Shucks! Thanks everyone.

PJI,

I know the Urban, a new hotel part of the Derby chain( also owns the Villa Real) has a pool. It's located just up the street from the Palace and it has very good reviews( in case the pool is very important).

Hi PJI,
the Palace doesnīt have a pool, sorry. The Urban has one, and I think that there is another hotel in the Gran Via with a rooftop floor (must look for the name at home), but I donīt know if they will already be open for the season.

BTW, as you are coming this weekend, I think that you will be interested on the weather forecast. It seems that it is going to be on the hot side ...

Thanks for the weather prediction cova -your the best. Its getting rather toasty down here where I am also - sun staying up until 2130! But I love it.

Thanks to everyone else confirming the unfortunate lack of a pool at the Westin Palace. Its not that important, it would have just been nice to take a dip in the evenings. I got the Palace at a steal (3 Bancotel coupons a night) so we are just going to stay with the reservations we have.

Thanks again everyone.
