West Fjords
 

Planning a 10 day trip to Iceland in June or July. Would like our trip to include lots of wildlife viewing - puffins and other birds, whales, and fox; spectacular scenery; and a slow pace by which I mean we’d like to stay in just 2 or 3 places. Leaning toward a trip to the West Fjords/Snæfellsner Area. Are three 2 or 3 “base towns” we could stay at that would allow us to easily visit the highlights of these areas? Recommendations for best things to see and do?
