we're driving in Crete/best recommendations?
 

We'll have done Knossos and Rethymno and will venture out from there in our rental car.
Have just a few days so where to go? Day trip or overnight? Your favorites?

You have a wealth of options! With only a few days, you will need to be very selective. If you don't already have them, I strongly recommend the Michelin Green Guide and the Rough Guide. And if you haven't already seen it, you might find some useful information in my trip report -- the section on Crete begins with post # 48.
