Weekend in Paris

2 nights in Paris from London first weekend in October. Where to stay?
We want luxury hotel but not 1000.00 US a night. Looking around 500.00 US a night. We only have 2 days so would love help with itinerary and lodging. I am fussy.
We leave London either Thursday evening or fri am and come back to London sunday night.

<< I am fussy. >>

Why not specify what you're fussy about. If you're so fussy it's important to give precise feedback which can't be done unless you give us a clue.

Fussy about location, service, furniture, food, specific amenities, quiet??? And $500 US a night will not be one of the true luxury hotels - although it should be quite nice.

I've always wanted to stay at the Pavillon de la Reine, which I think is in your range. It's one of my fantasy hotels.

Hotel Madison always seems like a good place to live it up.

I've put clients in the K&K Cayre and they were happy. I love the location and have stayed a few doors away. If you don't want a small boutique hotel, it might be a good choice for you.

Mind, I have no personal experience with any of these; they are not in my budget but if they were, I wouldn't hesitate to book any of them.

fussy about service and furniture. Food we can get outside of hotel but nice breakfast is lovely. Of course because we are there such short period of time...location seems important!
I guess any great hotel recommendations for my price range 5-700 us!!
Thanks

Hotel Madison or Relais St Germain might work for you. Both are in the 6th with great access to transportation, shops and sites.

Hotel Relais St. Germain. I haven't stayed here but have visited friends who did and the rooms are lovely. And you get preference for reservations at the impossible-to-reserve restaurant attached to the hotel, Le Comptoir.

We will be staying in Hotel Odeon ST Germaine and seems to be near lots of restaurants and cafes and also included one buffet breakfast. The rooms look really nice.
Will be staying there in mid September so counting the days.
