Wedding in Santorini - Any Good Restaurant/Taverns
Hi there,
I was hoping someone out there can help as i'm having a hell of a time trying to get some information on where i can book a place for a reception for about 50 people to enjoy traditional Greek food which is not over the top in price. If you can recommend a place and have an idea on price etc... i'd be really grateful.
I heard Selene is good and apparently Nautilos (haven't seen any pics though) is just as good...
Any comments?

If you want authentic Greek food and would like to include the sunset in Oia as part of your celebration I can recommend the authentic "Neptune" Restaurant to you. It's right on the main square next to the church and is where many Greeks go for their meals when they're on holiday and staying in Oia. The great thing about Neptune is that they have a very large rooftop alfresco dining area that looks out over the caldera, and there's an awning to block the sun or it can be pulled back to view the starlight at night. This is the real deal, not an overpriced gourmet restaurant. The chef/owner, Antonis Karvounis, has been cooking for well over 20 years. Contact him through his brother, Markos Karvounis, at Karvounis Tours. 30-22860-71209 or 71290. The restaurant's number is 71294 but you'd need to speak Greek to talk to Antonis.

No, sorry, I seldom eat in Fira. The word is that it's very nice, however. I'm sure you could do much worse. For the record, Oia has some very good upscale restaurants as well: Ambrosia, 1800 and Oia Cafe-Restaurant.

Hi! I'm getting married in Santorini at the end of May and the ceremony will be at Antoniou Winery. The reception is at Selene. I've been using Tania Repic, a wedding planner in Santorini, and she has been most helpful. I'm happy to answer any questions or share Tania's information with you if you would like. Thanks and good luck!
